Scaffold Apprenticeship comes to the Humberside Region

We have been delivering the CISRS scaffolding apprenticeship at our Nottingham centre for over seven years now and are excited to be able to offer this framework to the Humberside region at our purpose built training facility at CATCH near Stallingborough.

If you are an employer, you have probably considered the pros and cons of employing an apprentice to assist you in your business. You are not alone, as there are 1000s of construction companies across the UK that have had the same thoughts.

With Interviews already well on the way for our Nottingham intake starting on 3rd October 2017,  interviews beginning shortly this month for the intake starting 13th November 2017 at CATCH.

Fully funded places are still available for 16-18 years and 19-23 years have an expected employers contribution of £800.00.

The benefits of taking on an apprentice:

There has never been a better time to offer apprenticeships, with one in five employers hiring more apprentices to help them through the current economic climate.  You will be getting a keen, motivated member of staff that wants to learn and help your business to grow. In fact, 80% of employers say apprentices have made their workplace more productive.

The scaffolding training apprenticeship is a part-time 11 week programme (10-day blocks over 18-24 months)

The Scaffolder Apprenticeship course includes the training route to qualify as a CISRS Scaffolder (Tube and Fitting) and obtain a CISRS Scaffolders Card. The scaffolding apprenticeship scheme is structured to allow the learners more time to complete practical and theory training and assessments, to achieve the following list of qualifications:

  • CISRS Trainee (Part 1)
  • CISRS Scaffolder (Part 2)
  • CISRS Skill Test (Level 2)
  • Construction Diploma (Level 2)
  • NVQ Access and Rigging Operations – Scaffolding (Level 2)
  • Functional Skills (Level 1)
  • CISRS Scaffolder Card

What benefits and grants are available to employers?

Did you know that if you are a CITB in scope company you could be able to claim upto £6000.00 per employee on completion of their Apprenticeship by doing their CISRS Scaffolding Apprenticeship with us.  Age grant are also available for companies who employ less than 50 people can claim up to £1000.00 per person up to a maximum of 5.
