Training that is more than a tick in a box
Falls from height remain one of the leading causes of workplace deaths and serious injuries in the UK, and most are preventable with the right training and equipment.
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require employers to make sure anyone working at height is competent, properly equipped and supervised. Our trainers work across installation, inspection and training, so they understand the equipment as well as the law.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about working at height training. Can't see yours? Our team is happy to help.
What training is required to work at height?
It depends on the task and equipment, but most roles need at least an awareness course, plus specific training on any equipment used. Anyone inspecting harnesses and lanyards typically needs a competent person course.
Who needs working at height training?
Anyone whose job involves working at height, and supervisors and managers responsible for planning that work.
Is working at height training a legal requirement?
Yes. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require anyone working at height to be competent, which in practice means trained, or supervised by someone who is.
What does a course cover?
Legal duties, identifying and managing hazards, and safe use of ladders, harnesses and lanyards. Some courses extend to inspecting equipment or planning a rescue.
How long do courses last and how long are certificates valid?
From a short toolbox talk to a full practical day. Refresher training is usually recommended every one to three years, or sooner if regulations, practices or equipment change.
Is training available online?
Our courses are delivered in person on site, because skills like fitting a harness or inspecting equipment are best taught hands-on.
How much does training cost?
It depends on the course, group size and location. Get in touch and we will quote for what your team needs.
