Recertification & Maintenance
Height safety equipment only protects people if it is maintained. Our planned recertification keeps every system on your site compliant, documented and ready to use.
- BS 7883 & BS EN 365
- Annual recertification
- Any make of system
Installed once, maintained for life
Lifelines, anchors, guardrails and ladders are exposed to weather, corrosion and everyday wear. Without regular checks, a system that passed on installation day can quietly become unsafe.
Our recertification and maintenance service keeps your equipment in working order and gives you the documentation to prove it, so you can meet your duties under the Work at Height Regulations 2005 with confidence.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about Recertification & Maintenance. Can't see yours? Our team is happy to help.
How often does height safety equipment need recertifying?
Most permanent systems, including anchors, eyebolts, lifelines and guardrails, should be inspected and recertified at least once a year by a competent person. Rope access anchors and davits need inspecting every 6 months, and harnesses and lanyards at least every 6 months. Add extra checks after incidents, alterations or severe weather.
Can you recertify systems installed by another company?
Yes. We can inspect and recertify most makes of height safety equipment and advise on any remedial work needed.
What standards do you work to?
Inspections follow UK standards including BS 7883 and BS EN 365, and BS 13700:2021 for counterweighted guardrails.
What happens if a system fails recertification?
We explain the issue, take the system out of use where needed, and provide a quote for repairs or replacement so it can be recertified.
Do I get documentation?
Yes. You receive a written report and certificates for every system that passes, ready for audits and insurers.
