Why Safety & Access

Inspections by people who install the equipment

Workplace safety depends on equipment that is checked properly and often. Our engineers combine hands-on installation know-how with inspection experience, so our recommendations reflect current UK regulations and standards, not a generic checklist.

Backed by decades of experience and a team of trained technicians, we serve businesses across the UK from our base in Nottingham.

What we inspect and certify

Fall protection systems

Harnesses, lifelines and fall arrest equipment checked against the relevant British Standards.

Access & egress systems

Ladders, platforms and walkways, so routes onto and around the roof stay safe.

Collective protection

Guardrails, barriers and edge protection confirmed to still provide robust protection.

Anchors & eyebolts

Anchor points and eyebolts tested and recertified at least annually, and every 6 months for rope access anchors and davits (BS 7883:2019).

Personal protective equipment

Harnesses, lanyards and PPE checked for valid CE/UKCA marking and current standards.

Lightning protection

Regular checks to confirm lightning protection systems remain effective.

Why regular inspections matter

More than a box-ticking exercise

Inspections are what stand between your business and a preventable accident.

Avoid non-compliance fines

Out-of-date equipment exposes you to fines and legal risk a routine inspection would prevent.

Protect productivity

An incident involving faulty equipment stops work, and downtime costs far more than an inspection.

Boost employee morale

Staff notice when safety is taken seriously.

Protect your assets

Well-maintained systems last longer and delay replacement costs.

What safety systems do you inspect and certify?

Fall protection systems, access and egress equipment, collective protection, anchorage devices, PPE and lightning protection systems.

What is the difference between inspection and certification?

Inspection is the physical assessment of equipment to check its condition and compliance. Certification is the formal, documented confirmation issued once it passes — the evidence auditors, clients and insurers ask for.

How often should safety systems be inspected?

Generally at least once a year, though the exact frequency depends on the equipment and the regulations that apply.

What standards do your inspections follow?

UK standards including BS 7883:2019 and BS EN 365.

What qualifications do your inspectors have?

They are experienced technicians with a strong background in safety compliance and system inspection.

What report will I receive?

A full written report on what we found, whether each system is compliant, and any maintenance or corrective work we recommend.

Do you offer maintenance as well?

Yes. We offer ongoing maintenance plans alongside certification to keep systems compliant all year.

What happens if a system fails?

You receive a detailed report of the issues and our recommended corrective actions to bring it back into compliance.

How long is a certificate valid?

Usually one year, though it can vary by equipment type and industry requirements.
