New CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor Refresher Course

This 2 day course for existing supervisors or managers with existing CISRS Supervisor Cards that have expired or approaching 5 year expiry.

The course is for attendees to acquire a suitable supervisory knowledge and management skill update that is tailored to the time-for-supervisorscontract scaffolding industry.

The course will cover the following content.

Health & Safety: Legal Overview – Health & Safety Law, Health and Safety Management, HSE ACOP’s and Guidance

Performance Standards: British and European Standards, NASC Safety and Technical Guidance, TG20:13 & SG4:15 appreciation Basic Asbestos Awareness

Supervisory Skills: Planning and Organisation, Materials and Logistics, Competence and Allocating Duties, Effective Supervision Statutory Scaffold Inspections and Inspection Practices, Behavioural Safety overview, Effective Communication (including basic presentation skill, briefings and toolbox talks).

Risk Assessment & Method Statement: Delegates are required to sit a written test and undertake projects which contributes to the overall assessment. Successful delegates will receive a CISRS endorsed certificate and can apply for renewal of the CISRS Supervisors Card, providing they have passed the Construction Skills Supervisory Level Health and Safety Test within the previous 2 years. A 2 day renewal course is required within every five years.
