The CISRS Overseas Scaffolder Training Scheme (OSTS) was developed 3 years ago by CISRS has now reached a milestone of over 2500 operatives completing the training scheme.
The new scheme was launched three years ago with the full support of Safety & Access and has gone on to be an international success with several major clients adopting this throughout the world as a recognised standard of quality training.
The foundation of the scheme is based upon the same principles as the UK CISRS training scheme.
The scheme offers a range of training including scaffolding skills, scaffold inspection and scaffolding supervisor. Safety & Access have been a pioneer of the scheme and have delivered the scheme on location in UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Bahrain.
There is still work to be done to encourage clients worldwide to take advantage of the training scheme. Local access will no doubt be vital in further increasing take up of the scheme and raising awareness of the benefits amongst of employers.
Safety & Access have invested heavily in the scheme and have accredited training centres in UAE, Qatar, India and South Korea; there are plans for additional centres in the Middle East and Caribbean for the future. Training can also be delivered onsite if facilities and equipment are suitable.
