Introducing CoverLite

Temporary cover, fitted in minutes

CoverLite is a temporary skylight cover made from tough glass reinforced plastic (GRP). At just 12.6kg, one person can install it unaided.

Its open lattice lets light through while creating a secure barrier over the opening. Panels can be joined for larger skylights, and a fixing kit of brackets, rivets and adjustable straps gives a tight, weather-sealed fit.

Is CoverLite designed for long-term use?

No. It is intended for temporary protection during maintenance, repairs or short installation work, not as a permanent system. For permanent protection see roof skylight protection.

Can CoverLite panels be joined?

Yes, end to end (longitudinally) to cover larger or irregular layouts. They shouldn't be joined side by side unless each panel has its own full set of fixings.

Can people stand on CoverLite?

No. It is a fall protection cover, not a working platform, and must not support a person's full weight while working.

Do you need special tools?

Just a drill and riveter. Using the supplied kit, installation typically takes minutes per panel.

What standards does CoverLite meet?

The ACR Red Book (Class B) and BS EN 1873, supporting compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Can CoverLite be reused?

Yes, provided each panel passes inspection before reuse and only the original fixings are used to refit it.
