A custom ladder without the custom lead time
Ordering a bespoke fixed ladder is often slow and expensive. KATT's modular, flat-packed design means you get a ladder to your exact specification without waiting weeks for fabrication.
We only need approximate dimensions. The rest of the fit is completed safely on site, and every ladder arrives with all the fasteners and fixings needed, so it can be up and in use quickly.

Safer and more comfortable to climb
KATT ladders have wide, slip-resistant, ergonomic rungs, and can be specified with a safety cage or a vertical fall arrest system depending on height and use.
From installation to the finer details, every element follows the HSE hierarchy of control for work at height.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about fixed access ladders. Can't see yours? Our team is happy to help.
What is a fixed access ladder?
A permanently installed ladder giving safe, repeatable access to roofs, plant rooms and platforms, instead of relying on a portable ladder each time.
How is a KATT ladder installed?
It arrives flat-packed and is built on site using approximate dimensions taken beforehand. All fixings are supplied and no welding is needed.
What standards apply to fixed ladders in the UK?
The Work at Height Regulations 2005, with BS 4211:2005+A1:2008 and BS EN ISO 14122-4:2016 setting technical requirements for design, dimensions and safety features.
When does a ladder need a cage or fall arrest system?
As a general rule, once a ladder rises above about 2.5 metres, and an intermediate landing is needed if the climb exceeds 6 metres without one.
Can the ladder be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The modular design means sections can be added, adjusted or reconfigured if access needs change.
How often should a fixed ladder be inspected?
Typically every 6 to 12 months for wear, corrosion and structural integrity, and after any incident or significant site work.
