Looking for a CISRS COTS Course based in London and delivered by a CISRS-Accredited training provider? Then look no further!
Book your space today and complete your CISRS Operative Training Scheme with Safety & Access.
The CISRS Operative Training Scheme, often referred to as COTS, is a training course designed to provide you with all the basic knowledge you need to use scaffolding equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Accredited by the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS), this course is ideal for labourers and operatives, as well as those making their entry into the scaffolding or construction industry.
We cover the basics of scaffolding and general site safety so you have a clear understanding of what your responsibilities will be when working on site. You’ll gain a greater understanding of scaffolding and access equipment and learn how to work safely at height according to HSE guidelines and regulations
We’ve been delivering scaffolding and access training courses across the UK for over 30 years now and during this time we’ve helped thousands of delegates gain the skills, knowledge and qualifications they need to have a safe and successful career in the scaffolding and access industries.
When choosing a training course provider, you always want to make sure that they are officially CISRS approved, if not your completion of the course will not count towards you gaining your CISRS card and you’ll have to complete your training again.
Here at Safety & Access, we’re proud to be a CISRS approved training provider. This means that our training centre continually meets the criteria set out by the CISRS Scheme during our annual audits.
So you can rest assured that you’re receiving the highest quality of CISRS training when you choose Safety & Access!
In order to take this course, participants must have a good understanding of both spoken and written English.
To book your space on this course you must have a CITB HS&E Test (or accepted exemption) in place at the time of booking. The CITB HS&E Test (or accepted exemption) needs to have been passed with the previous 23 months before the course start date.
Plus, all delegates should bring the relevant site PPE with them for the practical course elements – e.g. hardhat, boots, gloves.
The CISRS COTS Course is made for those looking to take their first steps to becoming a scaffolder. It’s the ideal course for anyone who’s completely new to the scaffolding industry and looking to begin a career in scaffolding.
COTS is also the course that CISRS Green Card Holders must re-take every five years in order to stay up to date with revised rules & regulations and renew their cards to continue working on-site.
It’s also aimed at labourers and site operatives who carry out basic labouring or driving duties in support of or alongside scaffolding operations.
Our COTS course takes place over just 1 day. This 8-hour period features 6 hours of learning and following this, you will take a multiple-choice exam to determine your understanding. You will need to pass this exam in order to receive your CISRS Certificate of Training.
The COTS Course takes place at our CISRS-accredited London Training Centre in Wandsworth.
We also offer the COTS Course at our other training centres across the UK, including Nottingham and Lincolnshire.
